  1. You need to obtain written permission from the faculty member of record for the course, and provide TLT (TLT@bethel.edu) that permission  (forward an email for example).
  2. You need to have a legitimate reason to access the course.  FERPA does protect access to student work and grades unless there is a legitimate need to see the work or grades (appeals for example).
  3. Department Chairs and Program Directors can request from TLT access to any course in their program as needed. TLT will add the Chair/Director as TA. However we are also willing to import courses to a new course which avoids all FERPA issues and cluttering up your Moodle course list with courses.
  4. In the absence of instructor of record (faculty member no longer employed by Bethel) the appropriate authority should consult the Bethel Intellectual Property Policy in the Faculty Handbook to protect both the former faculty member and Bethel University.
