Create and Code your question:
1) Write your question with all the answers as a sentence or paragraph in the Question text box.
Example:
The main colors of the visible spectrum of light are (in decreasing wavelength) are red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, violet.
2) Expand the Moodle Tool set (arrow) so that you can see the Moodle Cloze editor tool.
3) Select the word that you want the student to supply as an answer, in this case the color red. Then click on the Cloze editor tool.
Image Modified4) In the Cloze editor, select the format you want for the answer from the options. Note when you select an option a brief description is supplied.
Here I selected Short Answer so that the learner will need to provide the color from memory only and not from a Multichoice or Multianswer that provides possible answers.
5) Fill in the point value (Default mark).
The default is 1 point for each answer. If you want the question to add up to one point change the overall value for the question later on the Edit Quiz page.
6) Use the + to the right of the Default mark to supply all correct answers. Since Short answer was selected here, then either Red or red would be correct. Click Insert after you have provided all acceptable alternative answers.
7) Repeat this process for any other answers you want the student to supply in your question.
