- In Fall 2020, chapel will continue to be held Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in Benson Great Hall with reduced seating capacity to account for social distancing between attendees.
- For those who are not able to attend in-person in the Great Hall, we plan to provide a live-stream option for real-time viewing access online. Information and instructions on how to access the chapel live stream will be provided in the fall, if we are able to provide that option.
- We will continue to have the chapel videos uploaded onto our Bethel Chapel’s Vimeo site.
- Each Chapel service will be 30 minutes. The service will start at 10:25, which allows 15 minutes between the end of the last class (10:10) and the start of the chapel service. The chapel service will end at 10:55 am and we will have two release times from the Great Hall:
- 10:55 for students with a 4 credit class for C mod, which starts at 11:10
- 11:05 for students with a 3 credit class for C mod, which starts at 11:20
- Chapel attendees in Benson Great Hall must follow signage indicating the direction of traffic flow for specific aisles and which doors are for entry and which doors are for exit.
- Attendees are expected to follow social distancing and face covering guidelines during Chapel.
- There will be a worship team singing from the stage as well as other forms of worship but there will not be corporate singing until CDC guidelines indicate it as safe.
- Additional faith formation media resources such as video podcasts will also continue to be produced: Devos with PLB with Pastor Laurel Bunker, The New Abnormal with Pastor Jason Steffenhagen, and Beyond the Brick with Pastor Matt Runion.
