Forum Grading Using Rubrics in Moodle

After creating the initial forum, you will also need to create an assignment. For example, Forum 1.1 Grade. In the settings for the assignment, under “Submission types,” uncheck the check-boxes for both “File submission” and “Online Text.”  When students click on the link for the assignment called Forum 1.1 Grade, they will see the rubric or marking guide that you have created for the forum. They will also be told that there is nothing to submit in this assignment (since their submission is in the initial forum you have created. It is recommended that you explain the purpose of the link in the Assignment description to help with possible student confusion.

NOTE: Do NOT hide the "assignment" as then students will not have access to the rubric OR to their grade or your grade comments.
