This article describes how to install the Groove extension in Google Chrome so that you can access salesforce information while in Gmail.
Details
1. If you do not have Google Chrome installed on your computer, you can click here to download it. You’ll need to use this web browser in order to use Groove.
2. Press the Start button, and then type “Chrome” to search for the Google Chrome web browser. When it appears in the results list, right-click on it and select “Run as Administrator”.
3. You need to have administrator privileges for the computer you are using. An administrator will have to log in for you at this point if you do not have this right.
4. Once Chrome opens, navigate to the following web address: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/category/extensions
5. In the search box in the top left corner of the page, type “Groove” and press enter.
6. You should see "Groove for Gmail" listed under the Extensions section. Click on it the button that reads “+ Free” in order to install this Extension.
7. Confirm the installation. Once the extension installs, click on the small icon that has appeared in the upper right corner of the window, at the end of the address bar.
8. Click the login button, and then use your salesforce login to sign in to the window that appears. After you sign in once, you should remain signed in. Salesforce information will now appear in Gmail.
