Preferred Language: Set to English - United States of any of the other listed languages.
Forum Preferences:
Email digest type: Default is no digest where you will get an email for each post for any forum to which your are subscribed. Alternates are a daily email with all full posts or only all subjects.
Forum auto-subscribe:
- Yes: when I post, subscribe me to that forum discussion (default)
- No: don't automatically subscribe me to forum discussions
Forum tracking: Marks posts as read or unread to make it easy to track which forum posts you have already read.
- Yes: highlight new posts for me
- No: don't keep track of posts I have seen
When sending forum post notifications: When you are notified of a forum post via email subscription, you can choose whether or not to mark the post as read for the purpose of forum tracking. (Available only when Forum tracking is set to Yes.)
Editor preferences: Leave set to Default editor
Enable activity chooser: We recommend leaving this selected.

Message preferences: Leave Offline set to ON. This setting for Email controls whether you will get an email to alert you to new messages when you are not logged into Moodle. The Online option can be set to "Off" (uses Moodle message) or "On" (sends email) as you wish.
Notification Preferences:
