- Though we have identified isolation and quarantine spaces on campus, in most cases, students who test positive for COVID-19 may be asked to isolate at home, away from campus, in order to best support their recovery and ensure limiting exposure to others on campus.
- Isolation:
- Students who show symptoms or have tested positive for COVID-19 should isolate themselves immediately and contact Health Services the COVID-19 Hotline (651.638635.62158500) to determine whether or not to get tested.
- In the event of a positive COVID-19 test, students must isolate until isolate for a minimum of 10 days after symptom onset and until they are fever fever-free for three consecutive days without 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication, and ten days since the onset of symptomsmedications.
- Quarantine
- Students must quarantine for 14 days if they have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (clinical diagnosis or test-confirmed).
- Close contact is defined as being with the infected person for 15 minutes or more at less than 6 feet distance. All other contact is considered indirect and does not necessitate being quarantined.
- Students can leave quarantine after day 10 if they test on day 7 and receive a negative result.
- Reporting:
- If in isolation or quarantine, students must notify Health Services the COVID-19 Hotline (651.638635.62158500), remain isolated in their residence or travel to isolate at their permanent residence, and not interface with other students or staff during the quarantine period.
