Resources:

Basics:

Instructors: Create a Turnitin Assignment
  • In your Mooodle Course - Add an Activity or Resource - Select Assignment
    • Set a Due Date for the Assignment (failure to do so makes the Turnitin Due Date - 1 week after creation of the assignment)
    • In the "Turnitin plagiarism plugin settings"
      • Set Enable Turnitin to "Yes"
      • Set other settings as appropriate
Students: Submit the Assignment (online text or PDF, Word or PowerPoint file upload)
  • Upon submission a Turnitin Id is generated.
  • After processing (few minutes to hours) an originality % is displayed.
    • Click on the % to view your originality report
    • Click on the pencil to view Turnitin Feedback (if used by your instructor)

Instructors: View the Originality Reports and Provide Feedback

  • We recommend the use of the normal Moodle Assignment Feedback process (Rubrics, Grading Guides, etc.)
