  • In some cases, students who test positive for COVID-19 may be asked to isolate at home, away from campus, in order to best support their recovery and ensure limiting exposure to others on campus.

  • Reporting:
    1. When a student has been in close contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 (clinical diagnosis or test-confirmed), they must quarantine for 14 days.
    2. If a student is showing symptoms of COVID-19, they should get tested.
  • Isolation:
  1. Students who show symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should isolate themselves immediately and contact Health Services (link here).
  2. The isolation period will last until they are fever-free for three consecutive days without fever-reducing medication, and ten days since the onset of symptoms.
  • Quarantine
  1. Students must quarantine for 14 days if they have been in direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (clinical diagnosis or test-confirmed).
  2. Direct contact is defined as being with the infected person for 15 minutes or more at less than 6 feet distance. All other contact is considered indirect and does not necessitate being quarantined.
  3. If quarantined, students must fill out the COVID-19 Notification Form (link here), remain isolated in their residence or travel to isolate at their permanent residence, and not interface with other students or staff during the quarantine period.
