- In some cases, students who test positive for COVID-19 may be asked to isolate at home, away from campus, in order to best support their recovery and ensure limiting exposure to others on campus.
- Reporting:
- When a student has been in close contact with someone with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 (clinical diagnosis or test-confirmed), they must quarantine for 14 days.
- If a student is showing symptoms of COVID-19, they should get tested.
- Isolation:
- Students who show symptoms consistent with COVID-19 should isolate themselves immediately and contact Health Services.
- The isolation period will last until they are fever-free for three consecutive days without fever-reducing medication, and ten days since the onset of symptoms.
- Quarantine
- Students must quarantine for 14 days if they have been in direct contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 (clinical diagnosis or test-confirmed).
- Direct contact is defined as being with the infected person for 15 minutes or more at less than 6 feet distance. All other contact is considered indirect and does not necessitate being quarantined.
- If quarantined, students must , remain isolated in their residence or travel to isolate at their permanent residence, and not interface with other students or staff during the quarantine period.
