Forwarding Calls using Evolve IP Remote Office

Summary

This article explains how to forward calls from a Bethel phone number using the Evolve IP OSSmosis Personal Portal’s Remote Office feature. This call forwarding feature is available on select Bethel phone numbers (not available for every number) and is a feature that can be utilized if standard call forwarding doesn’t meet your call forwarding need. This feature is not available in Polycom desk phone’s settings menu, it must be accessed through the Personal Portal website.

This feature is more helpful for those looking to forward calls from a Hunt Group (group of numbers that can rotationally or simultaneously ring when called) or Call Center (group of numbers in a call queue that can be signed in and out of availability).

Navigating to the Remote Office menu in the Portal

  1. After logging into the portal, you will begin at the Welcome tab. In the top navigation bar, click on the Advanced Features tab.

  1. In the second navigation bar beneath the top bar, click on the Remote Office tab.

  1. A pop-up notification will appear saying something similar to “evolveip.my-cloud-manager.com says Click OK to Remote Office, if you have not saved your work, click Cancel and be sure to save it”. Unless you have any selections unsaved in the previous menu, click OK to proceed.

  1. Enter the phone number you want this Bethel number to forward to into the yellow text box labeled Phone number.

  1. Entering a phone number in this box does not automatically enable forwarding to this number. To enable forwarding, select the checkbox labeled Enable Remote Office and click the red Save Changes button on the left navigation column.

  1. Anytime you want to disable or reenable the Remote Office forwarding, you will need to login to the Personal Portal, navigate into the Remote Office menu, and select or deselect the checkbox and click Save Changes. You do not need to add or remove the phone number each time you enable or disable Remote Office forwarding.
