Qualification and types of testing accommodations: OARS provides a Testing Center for students with testing accommodations. Testing accommodations are changes to the regular testing environment and auxiliary aids and services that allow individuals with disabilities to demonstrate their true aptitude on exams. The provision of accommodations to students with disabilities does not carry with it an obligation to reduce the level of the course content or to lower the standards of mastery. Bethel complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for students with documented physical or mental impairments that substantially limit one or more of the major life activities. Non-specific diagnoses such as test difficulty or anxiety do not constitute a disability or impairment.
