Moodle - Upload a Document to Moodle
How to upload a document to Moodle:
- Turn Editing on in your Moodle Course
In the location where you wish to add your document, at the bottom of the block click Add an activity or resource and select File from the list and click Add.
- In the Adding a new File page fill in the Name field (Description field is optional).
- In the Content area click the Add button and use the File Picker to select and upload your file. Be sure that the name is simple and that the file has an extension (.doc. .docx. or .pdf). Alternately, you can also drag and drop your file onto the Files box.
- Click Save and Return to course at the bottom of the page.
How to update a document in Moodle
- Turn Editing on in your Moodle Course
- Click on the link to the outdated document. Open the document in the appropriate application (Word. PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and make revisions. Save the changes, renaming the file as appropriate.
- Click on Edit to the right of, or below, the file link.
- In the Content box, click on the file icon for the outdated document select Delete.
- Upload the new version of your document by clicking on the Add link icon, or drag and drop the file into the dashed box.
- Click Save and return to course.
