Pay Period

Employees are paid in accordance with the following schedule:

Exempt Staff and Faculty are paid monthly at the end of each month for work performed in that month. Paychecks are issued on the last banking day of the month (absent conflicting state law requirements).

Those exempt staff and faculty working outside of Minnesota are paid semi-monthly on the 15th and last banking day of the month for work performed in each pay period.

Non-exempt Staff are paid monthly for actual hours worked from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next month. Paychecks are issued for hours worked in this time period on the last banking day of the month.

Those non-exempt staff working outside of Minnesota are paid semi-monthly. The first time period runs from the first to the 15th of the month. Hours worked during this time period are paid on the last banking day of that month. The second time period runs from the 16th to the end of the month. Hours worked during this time period are paid on the 15th of the following month.

The workweek for Bethel employees is defined as Sunday through Saturday. Work hours for full-time employees normally cover 40 hours in a five-day period, Monday through Friday.

An unpaid lunch period of 30 minutes is provided to all nonexempt staff employees daily. Lunch breaks should be coordinated with other staff schedules.
