Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuities

Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuities

As a Bethel employee, you may purchase a tax sheltered annuity for your retirement on a voluntary basis.

Tax-deferring is a retirement planning method which allows a reduction from your salary before state and federal taxes are taken. You may tax defer part of your earnings through salary reduction, within limits prescribed by the Internal Revenue Service. Bethel's tax deferred annuity provider is TIAA CREF.

If you wish to sign up for this benefit or change your current election, complete a Tax Deferred Annuity (403b) Form and submit it to the Office of People and Culture before the 15th day of the month that you would like your election to begin.
