Bethel ID Cards
University ID Card
Bethel University issues physical identification cards for personnel identification and for ease of access & interfacing with campus systems.
ID cards will be issued by Safety and Security during new student orientations, or around the first day of employment. The first card is issued at no cost to the community member, but fees are assessed for any replacement cards issued.
New for Fall 2025 - Community Members can submit ID photos electronically. See Getting your ID Card.
ID Cards are not re-issued annually. It is your responsibility to protect the card from being damaged, lost, or stolen so that it will remain in working condition.
Electronic Access will be disabled based on student graduation, resident move-out, or employee termination/resignation date.
Bethel ID cards remain the sole property of the University and must be surrendered upon request and/or termination of employment.
Community members are required to present an ID card upon request.

ID Card Tips
Keep your ID card away from extreme temperatures - such as leaving them on your car's dashboard or running them through a clothes dryer.
Prevent the card from being bent, cracked, or otherwise warped, which can interfere with the internals. Consider carrying them in a cardholder that covers the entire card, rather than a portion, which can introduce a bending or breaking point of failure for your ID.
Avoid exposing your card to strong magnetic sources, static electricity, or RF signals. For example, avoid storing your card on the rear of your phone if you use a wireless Qi charger.
If you have other RFID equipped ID or credit cards, their signals may interfere with your card. Consider storing or scanning your card separately for best results.
Do not punch holes in your card.
Use for contactless identification, not as an ice scraper.
ID Pickup Instructions
