Upon the recommendation of the President and the Provost, the Board of Trustees may grant emeritus status to those retired from active teaching or from major administrative posts at Bethel. This honor is not granted automatically, but each candidate is reviewed individually, with special consideration given to contribution to the school and longevity of service. An emeritus professor may take part in academic processions and retain library and faculty privileges.
