Policy - Faculty

How can I get access to another faculty member's course in Moodle.

  1. You need to obtain written permission from the faculty member of record for the course, and provide TLT (TLT@bethel.edu) that permission  (forward an email for example) along with an explanation of reason to access (see #2 below).
  2. You need to have a legitimate reason to access the course.  FERPA does protect access to student work and grades unless there is a legitimate need to see the work or grades (appeals for example).
  3. Department Chairs and Program Directors can request from TLT access to any course in their program as needed.  Please explain why you need access and what you are trying to do. TLT will add the Chair/Director as TA or  import the course to a new or upcoming course as appropriate to best meet your needs. Email TLT@bethel.edu with details of your request.
  4. In the absence of instructor of record (faculty member no longer employed by Bethel) the appropriate authority should consult the Bethel Intellectual Property Policy in the Faculty Handbook to protect both the former faculty member and Bethel University.
