  1. Open FileMaker Pro
  2. From the File menu, choose Open Remote...
  3. Under View, make sure Favorite Hosts is selected
  4. Click the Add button 
  5. For Host's Internet Address, type bsp-usrsrv-h1.its.bethel.edu
    1. Make sure Show all available files for this host is selected then Save. 
    2. The Favorite Host's Name is optional. Putting something such as the department name is recommended.



  6. If the server name was entered correctly, the box to put in the user's username and password should automatically pop up. 

    This password is unique to FileMaker - it does not sync with their Bethel account


    If the box does not show up, close FileMaker and run the Altiris task "Fix FileMaker Pro 11 Server Connection Error". After the task completes, relaunch the program and approve any requests to open firewalls. 
    Enter the password and click OK. 


  7. A list of available files should now appear in the column on the right. Select the one you want and click Open.
