The the The Office of People and Culture is committed to offering numerous training and development opportunities to faculty and staff members. The overall purpose for the training seminars is to further equip our employees for continued growth in their professional and personal lives. The seminars are designed to develop lifelong skills which will also be utilized to impact on-the-job-performance.

Partnerships have been formed with both internal and external training consultants to provide a customized training curriculum. Past seminar titles have included the following: Balancing Life's Competing Demands, Communicating Between Genders, Lessons in Leadership, Team Building, and Other People's Power. Scheduled during working hours, these seminars vary in length and are free to all faculty and staff members. In addition to the training and development seminars, all newly hired staff members in St. Paul are required to attend Royal Entrance, a new employee orientation program. Royal Entrance addresses Bethel's vision, mission, and history and shares the University's passion for Royal Care and how to deliver excellent customer service. Employees from outside of Minnesota will be oriented to Bethel's mission by their supervisor. If outlying locations need information for orientation purposes they may contact the the Office of People and Culture.
