Introduction to Benefits

Compensation for full time Bethel employees does not consist of salary alone; benefits also play an important part. Benefits of employment may change at the sole discretion of Bethel University, and benefits in effect at the time of signing a contract are not necessarily those that will be in effect for the period of the contract.

Please note that benefits end at the end of the month in which pay ends for the full-time faculty contract. For example, if a faculty member has a 10-month contract and chooses to have it paid over 10 months (August–May) and then doesn’t return in a benefits eligible role at the start of the following school year, the faculty benefits end on May 31. However, if a faculty member has the same 10-month contract and chooses to spread pay over 12 months (August–July), and then doesn’t return the following school year, the faculty member benefits will end on July 31.
