The Device Registration Portal is a webpage that allows Bethel users to register their smart devices to Bethel's wireless network for connection over Wi-Fi. This is especially helpful for devices such as video game consoles, smart TVs, Amazon Alexa, Chromebooks, Android phones, etc that are unable to connect to the Bethel or Bethel-Guest wireless networks normally.

To register a device, please follow the step-by-step instructions below. Please email the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@bethel.edu with any questions or issues during the device registration process.

Note

If you have connected your device to the Bethel-Guest network without registering it, you will need to wait at least 24 hours for the network to disconnect your device automatically before registering your device. The Bethel-Guest network has a disconnect policy much like hotel or airport Wi-Fi networks where it will kick the device off the network after a specific period of time. This device registration portal is a way to bypass this repeated disconnection.

The Device ID already exists error indicates that the MAC address you attempted to register has already been connected to the Bethel-Guest network and you'll need to "forget" the network on the device and wait 24-48 hours for it to be removed from the system before registering it.

The Error Loading Page is most often indicative of using a character that is not allowed in the Name or Description of the device. In the example above, the apostrophe is causing the error. Remove the offending character and the device will be able to be added.
