A reasonable accommodation is simply a modification or adjustment to a course, program, or activity that provides a person who has a disability with an equal opportunity. Reasonable accommodations should not fundamentally alter courses, programs, or activities.

The Office of Accessibility Resources and Services thoroughly reviews each student’s request, self-report, and documentation. Reasonable accommodations are determined on a case-by-case basis based on the student’s request and supportive evidence of this need.

Please note, accommodations cannot be retroactively applied to course, program, or service.
