Purpose- Student employee supervisors do so much for Bethel and specifically for their student employees. The primary purpose and ultimate goal of the Student Employee Supervisor of the Year program is to recognize the outstanding contributions and achievements of student employee supervisors.

Eligibility- The student employee supervisor must be full or part-time staff/faculty, not a student. 

Criteria- Student employment supervisors will be evaluated based on the characteristics of mentoring, professionalism, and leadership provided to the student employee.

Selection Committee- The Selection Committee will be the members of the President’s Cabinet.

Selection Process and Procedure- The procedure for selecting the recipient for the Student Employment Supervisor of the Year is as follows:

  1. Nominations will be submitted to the Office of People and Culture during the submission period each spring semester.
  2. Each nomination will be reviewed by the Talent Management Specialist and then forwarded to the Selection Committee.
  3. Selection of recipient for the Student Employment Supervisor of the Year will be made by the Selection Committee.
  4. A maximum of one recipient will be awarded each fiscal year.

Reward- The Student Employee of the Year recipient will receive a cash award.
