Adult Programs Applicant Account Process

Adult Programs Applicant Account Process

Summary

This article will outline the standard progression for Bethel students from an account perspective. This article will follow the application process to inform future students of what to expect next and how to complete the next step.

The first step in the process for attending Bethel is to fill out an application. Applications can be submitted at apply.bethel.edu.If you have issues filling out the application, please contact the IT Help Desk. To begin, create an account by filling out the information. The email address that you used will become your username until you are given your Bethel username. You will receive a Bethel username if you get accepted and pay the enrollment deposit. An email will be sent asking to finish account creation. Follow the link to create a password.   The username and password will be used to log in after clicking "Applicant Login". As a reminder, the username is the personal email that you entered for step 1. If you are receiving a Single Sign-On Error, please double check the spelling of your email address. If the error persists, please contact the IT Help Desk. Please include your name and the email address you are using to log in.    Fill out the application.
The admissions team at Bethel will reach out to you with the status of your application. If you are accepted, you will need to confirm enrollment. Log in at my.bethel.edu with the same username and password that was used to log in to your application. If you need to reset your password, you can do that at apply.bethel.edu and fill out the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address on the left. You will receive an email with a password reset link. Select "Confirm Your Enrollment". Fill in first and last name and email. Click Submit.
After confirming enrollment, new options will be available in MyBethel. The next step is to complete the enrollment checklist. The enrollment checklist only has Financial Aid items. If you have any questions, please contact Financial Aid.
Your Student Success Advisor will help you register for courses. If you receive a hold error when registering, your Student Success Advisor can help with this process.
The transition into a student account occurs once an incoming student has registered for courses and is within 45 days of their first class. When these two criteria are met, a new username will be issued. If you have issues or questions with this process, please contact the IT Help Desk. Log in at my.bethel.edu with the same username and password that was used to log in to your application.  A prompt will be given to activate your Bethel Community account. Enter the username and password that you have been using to log in to my.bethel.edu. Agree to the Responsible Use of Information Technology Resources Policy Note the username displayed. The screenshot provides an example of how the username will look. Create a new password. The new username, or Bethel Community Account, will be used during your time at Bethel. You will no longer log in with your previous username and password. You also now have access to your Bethel email which can be accessed at mail.bethel.edu.
