Bethel Guest (Wi-Fi)

This is the guest/open network on campus. When this network is selected from a device a splash screen will appear (similar to connecting at an airport, coffee shop, or hotel).Devices like smart TVs, video game consoles, Roku, Chromecast, and Amazon Fire Sticks will need to registered first before connecting to this network. Instructions can be found at this Confluence article: Device Registration Portal.

  1. Navigate to your device's wireless connections and connect to the network titled Bethel-Guest.
    1. For Windows computers, click on the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar (typically located in the bottom-right of the screen, next to the battery and time information).
    2. For Mac computers, click on the Wi-Fi icon on the Menu Bar (located in the top-right of the screen, next to the battery and time information).
    3. For mobile phones, go to the Wi-Fi menu within your Settings app.
  2. A splash page should open up, either in its own window or a web browser tab.
    • Notes:
      • If the splash page does not show up, try typing bethel.edu into a web browser to force the page to load.
      • Smart devices using the Device Registration Portal will not encounter the splash page, since the devices will be registered to the network using that method.
      • On Android devices, you may need to click on the network again if it displays a message for "Sign in is required" in order to open the splash page window.
  3. Read and accept the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy, then click the blue Accept button. Declining will deny access to the network.
  4. Another page should load that will prompt you to click Continue to connect to the network. Click the blue Continue button.
  5. The home page to bethel.edu should load. This indicates a successful connection to the Bethel-Guest network.
