Undergrad Applicant Account Process
- Justin Aakre
Summary
This article will outline the standard progression for Bethel students from an account perspective. This article will follow the application process to inform the future student of what to expect next and how to complete the next step.
The first step in the process for attending Bethel is to fill out an application. Applications can be submitted at apply.bethel.edu.If you have issues filling out the application, please contact the IT Help Desk.
To begin, create an account by filling out the information on the left side of the screen. The email address that you used will become your username until you are given your Bethel username. This will happen if you get accepted and pay the enrollment deposit.
An email will be sent asking to finish account creation. Follow the link to create a password.
The username and password will be used to log in after clicking "Returning Applicant? Login". If you are receiving a Single Sign-On Error, please double check the spelling of your email address. If the error persists, please contact the IT Help Desk. Please include your name and the email address you are using to log in.
- Fill out the application.
The admissions team at Bethel will reach out to you with the status of your application. If you are accepted, you will need to confirm enrollment by paying your enrollment deposit. If you have issues submitting the enrollment deposit or any questions on the process, please contact the IT Help Desk.
- Log in at my.bethel.edu with the same username and password that was used to log in to your application. If you need to reset your password, you can do that at apply.bethel.edu and fill out the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address on the left. You will receive an email with a password reset link.
- Select "Pay Your Enrollment Deposit".
- Fill in first and last name and email.
- Fill in payment information and click Submit Payment.
After paying the enrollment deposit, new options will be available in MyBethel. The next steps are to complete the enrollment checklist and apply for housing. The enrollment checklist will look different depending on the type of applicant (e.g. traditional, returning student, transfer, etc.) and previously received information. If you have issues or questions on housing, please contact Student Life. If you have issues or questions on checklist items, please see the Enrollment Checklist Components section.
- Log in at my.bethel.edu with the same username and password that was used to log in to your application.
- Select "Apply for Housing".
- Follow the Room Selection Instructions.
- If you are not housing at Bethel, fill out the My Profile section of the checklist.
The checklist will include a variety of Financial Aid requirements, trainings, and an Academic Registration Information Form, or ARIF. When the ARIF is submitted, a committee of faculty will look at the form and register courses for you. You will receive an email after you have been registered for courses. You can expect this email around Mid-June to Mid-July for students coming in the fall.
