Adding a Proxy

Summary

Adding a Proxy in Banner allows you to give the individual you select access to specific information within your Banner account for as long as you want them to have access.

Details

  1. Go to https://www.bethel.edu/its/banner and click on the link to the Self-Service Banner, and login with your Bethel username and password.

  2. Click the Proxy Access tab.



  3. Click the Proxy Management link.



  4. At the bottom of the window, click Add Proxy.



  5. In this window you have two choices for adding a proxy:

    • To add a non-suggested proxy, enter the desired proxy's information and click Add Proxy.

    • To add a suggested proxy, confirm the email listed is correct and click on their name.

      Note: If the proxy's email is incorrect, add them as a non-suggested proxy.



  6. Your added proxy will now receive an email asking them to set up their proxy account but will not be able to access any of your information yet. 
     
  7. Your proxy will also be listed in your Proxy list.
     
  8. Click the proxy name to expand.


     
  9. Select your relationship with the proxy under the proxy profile.

    Note: The type of relationship will not affect the proxy management capabilities.


     
  10. Click the Authorization tab. 
     
  11. Select the areas of information you would like this proxy to have the ability to access.


     
  12. Each change you make will automatically allow or deny access to the proxy.
     
  13. You now have the option to email your proxy if you would like.
     
  14. Click on Email Authorization and an email will be sent to your proxy updating them on what you have given them access to.
