Safari (MacOS Web Browser)

Summary

Clearing website data (cache and cookies)

1. On the Menu bar, click "Safari" > "Preferences"

   Open

   

2. Once the small window appears, click on the "Privacy" tab. 

3. Click "Manage Website Data"

   Open

   

4. Click "Remove All" and once it has cleared "Done"

   Open

   

Clearing history

1. On the Menu Bar click "Safari" 

2. In the middle of the dropdown, click "Clear History"

   Open

   

3. Select the amount of history to delete. Click "Clear History"

   Open

   

Revealing your stored passwords

1. On the Menu bar, click "Safari" > "Preferences"

   Open

   

2. Once the small window appears, click on the "Passwords" tab. 

3. Enter the password for your computer

4. Hover over the usernames to show the passwords

   Open

   

Blocking pop-ups

1. On the Menu bar, click "Safari" > "Preferences"

   Open

   

2. Once the small window appears, click on the "Websites" tab. 

3. Click on "Pop-up Windows" and make sure that it is set to "Block" or "Block and Notify"

Private Browsing

1. On the Menu bar, Click "File" 

   1. Then click on "New Private Window"
