Open Door Policy

If something about your job concerns you, quite often an open and frank discussion with your supervisor will provide the satisfaction you seek. Your concern, regardless of how small you may think it is, is important and deserves careful attention.

Bethel's open-door policy is designed to afford a fair method of resolution of concerns that arise between co-workers, management, executives, and all staff.

Concerns

Bethel encourages you to make your supervisor your first resource for any questions or concerns you may have related to your job duties, work assignments, job performance, and/or policies and practices. Our goal is to ensure that clearly stated policies and procedures will make resolution of issues increasingly possible at this level.

If, however, you wish to discuss an issue with someone outside your department, you are welcome to visit or call the Office of People and Culture. Your concern will be handled as confidentially as possible; however, confidentiality is not guaranteed.

Remember, whether you talk with your supervisor or with someone in the Office of People and Culture, Bethel wants to know what your concerns are.
