How to create a quiz with randomly selected questions

Creating a quiz with randomly selected questions can improve academic integrity.

Create the questions in a question bank

It's best practice to create the category structure first to be organized the whole process.

1. Navigate to the question bank by going to gear icon in the top right and choosing More... then choose Categories
2. Create as many categories as you need. If you only need one subset of questions to select from, create one category. Title the category to something that relates to the quiz title.
3. Navigate to the category and begin creating questions. Once all questions are created, we can add them to the quiz.
4. From the main course page, navigate to the quiz, click the gear icon in the top right, and choose Edit Quiz.
5. Click on Add and choose a random question.
6. Select the category the questions will be selected from and how many questions you want to be randomly selected.
