Performance Review Processes

Faculty employees complete the Reappointment and/or Promotion and Tenure review processes according to the guidelines found in the faculty handbook.

Annual Performance Review

Staff employees complete an annual performance review with their supervisor each year during the annual performance review season which runs from April 1 - May 31.

New Position Performance Evaluation

Performance expectations are discussed with the new employee and set down in writing. These expectations serve a two-fold purpose: to clearly communicate what your supervisor expects from you in terms of job performance and how you understand the position, and secondly, to set down the criteria in advance that will be used to measure your progress at the time your review is conducted.

Supervisors are asked to do a 45-day and 90-day evaluation for new employees in order to give opportunities for needed feedback earlier in their employment. After that time reviews will occur on an annual basis.
