Membership:

1. Veterinarian

2. At least 1 research scientist, the committee requests two are assigned

3. Ethicist

4. Community member from outside the university

Term: Committee Members are appointed by administration

Description:

1. To develop research protocols for animal research, reviewing of proposals and checking on compliance.

2. Providing training and educational resources

3. Approval of all research.

Meetings: about 1-2 X per month.
